Flexible Routines
Kids’ Retreat Flexible Daily Routine includes:
- Detailed observations of each child’s development and different interests, which is the basis of my weekly developmentally appropriate program. I provide a wide range of activities covering all developmental areas: language and communication, cognitive, social and emotional, fine motor, gross motor, creative, music and movement. I program for individual children and the group. These activities are open ended, encouraging positive play, interactions and self-esteem, including both indoor and outdoor play.
- Small excursions to local parks and playgroups. Also arranged playtime with other Family Day Carers, encouraging further social interactions
- Daily fun and interactive story, song, puppets and instrument experiences, using extensive resources, which gently encourage language development and self-esteem
- Yummy nutritional meals, including morning tea, lunch, dessert, afternoon tea and drinks throughout the day. See our delicious weekly menu, and our “Favourite recipe of the week”!
- Peaceful sleep/rest times attuned to each child’s needs in a quiet room with soothing music drifting through
- Craft experiences which allow children to express themselves in many different, creative ways
